KIT Campus Transfer GmbH

We Create Connections

KCT’s Efficient Structures Accelerate Transfer between Research and Industry.

KIT Campus Transfer GmbH

Technology transfer from publicly funded research essentially contributes to maintaining and strengthening Germany as a location of industry. To make use of all options available, science institutions increasingly complement their technology transfer units by customized private structures. After weighing statutory tasks and entrepreneurial requirements, subsidiaries are established to some pool services, instruments, and platforms that can be used more reasonably outside of the institution.

For Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, such tasks are executed by the KIT Campus Transfer GmbH (KCT). It offers flexible support of industry and startup projects as well as in the use of university resources. In addition, individual consulting and management services are offered to companies, in particular to those in which KIT is a partner.

As a partner of industry, KCT creates a KIT-wide cross-sectoral platform to turn existing technological competencies into economic values added.

News

From August 1st, 2021, the KIT Campus Transfer GmbH will move into its new office space.
